a.k.a. portrait retouching

Your Assignment:

Utilizing portrait retouching techniques, fix an image to include all of the following:

1) skin softening (but not eyes) using gaussian blur and layer masking.

2) skin color adjustment layer.

3) eye sharpen with adjustment layer.

4) high contrast portrait technique.

optional:

5) perform light cosmetic surgery using liquify.

This project will give you practice fixing imperfections that occurred naturally or that were the result of inferior lighting or equipment.

This image will be saved with layers as a single .psd file.



Rip & Renew
a.k.a. image restoration

Your Assignment:

Utilizing image restoration techniques, fix an old scanned image.

1) utilize clone tool.

2) utilize spot healing and healing tool.

3) use patch tool.


This project will give you practice in effectively removing flaws and blemishes that have occurred over time through mishap or natural decay.

This image will be saved with layers as a .psd file.



A Total Of Two Files Will Be Turned In!

Both images must also be printed!
